All commercial and residential users desiring trash and solid waste disposal or recycling collections may contact the following:

Animal Control
The Belle City Pound only houses dogs. If you have a missing dog, please call 573-859-3513, to see if your dog was brought into the city pound.
Pound fees must be paid at Belle City Hall before your dog can be picked up. The impound fee is $15 plus $3 each day for boarding.
Water or Sewer Back Up
If you are a city resident and have a water/sewer backup in your home, please do the following:
Call 573-859-3513 during normal business hours.
After regular business hours, call Dispatch at 573-859-3535 to notify them to contact our Public Works employee on duty.
Call Before You Dig
The homeowner or building contractor is responsible for calling before you dig.
Call 1-800-DIG-RITE
Please allow 2 working days for locates to be made.
Building Permits and Permitted Uses
Reminder: All property within the City of Belle is zoned for certain uses. If you are planning a project, please access the Building Permit Application under “Applications and Forms”, or stop by City Hall for a permit for any building to be erected, converted, structurally altered, enlarged, etc.
Reminder: No Work may be started without contacting the Building Inspector at 573-859-6338.
