Extra precautions are being taken for the June 2 Municipal election, originally scheduled for April 7, but was rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the Maries County Advocate, The Missouri Secretary of State’s office has provided plenty of face masks and hand sanitizer at each voting location. Plexiglass shields have also been installed to provide a safe distance between poll volunteers and voters.

Maries County Clerk Rhonda Rodgers stated that polling booths, tables, and pens will be sanitized after each use.

If voters wish to vote absentee vs. going to the polls, they may do so at the Maries County courthouse.

We look forward to seeing the community get out and vote!
