The Belle Municipal Court
is held the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. (unless notified in advance of a different date).
You have been summoned to appear in Municipal court by the date shown on your ticket.
You have the right to discuss your charges with the City Prosecutor or you may hire an attorney, at your expense, to represent you in court.
One continuance of your court date may be granted upon request.
If you experience difficulty paying your fines/costs, the Judge may require you to appear in court each month until paid in full.
If you enter a plea of not guilty, your case will be set for trial at a later date.
If you are indigent, you may be required to complete documentation to be determined by the court as evidence of your financial status and as an aid to the court in assessing fines, costs and setting of a payment plan.
If you do not come to court when you are summoned to do so, you are subject to a warrant being issued for your arrest.
